DEADLINE: Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

Because these are 101 funds, award monies (including salary transfer) must be spent by June 30, 2013. Content integration must be implemented within one year. Timeline can be extended for new courses that need to pass through curriculum committees.

Awards may be used for, but are not limited to, the following activities:

new course/module development;
developing case studies or other content;
incorporating new technology;
designing a FIGs (First-Year Interest Group) course;
existing course revision/supplementation;
travel to a conference;
hiring graduate student/project assistant/post doc. help to support the project;
purchasing resources or other teaching aids;
hosting a visiting speaker.

Awards may not be used to purchase equipment (e.g. laptops) or to hire undergraduate students or teaching assistants.

Science Internationalization Fellows (awardees) will be asked to present their projects at one or more campus events (e.g. a brown bag event, Delta roundtable, panel presentation at the Teaching & Learning Symposium).

Non-tenured faculty and academic teaching staff members are encouraged to apply. Collaborative efforts are of particular interest. Preference will be given to projects that are interdisciplinary, for example that partner/consult with a relevant area studies program on campus (www.internationalinstitute.wisc.edu).
